さまざまな宗派について
こんにちはメモワールしらゆりの三鍋です。入社して１年間、仏教の浄土真宗以外の宗派の方のご葬儀を何度か経験してきましたが、いったい他にどんな宗派があるのか気になって調べてみました。
日本の仏教には数多くの様々な宗派が存在していて「十八宗」と呼ばれる18の宗派は、三論宗・法相宗・華厳宗・律宗・倶舎宗・成実宗・天台宗・真言宗・融通念仏宗・浄土宗・臨済宗・曹洞宗・浄土真宗・日蓮宗・時宗・普化宗・黄檗宗・修験宗だそうです。
正直言って半分くらいは初めて名前を聞くような宗派でした。
同じ仏教なのになんでこんなにたくさんの宗派が存在するのでしょうか？
それはお釈迦様の教えをどう解釈するか、その違いでいろんな宗派が生まれたそうです。
教典に書かれたお釈迦様の教えが、多岐に渡っていたため、いろいろな解釈が可能だったということなんですね。
